Getting the Tree

The day after Thanksgiving, while everyone else is out shopping, we are out in the mountains finding the PERFECT Christmas Tree. After Thanksgiving dinner we head to Wyoming where we spend the night. This year we stayed at Grandma Field's and had a huge sleepover with Jake, Becky, Lexy, Adam, Jayda, Aly, Craig, Brielle, Grandma Lu, Grandpa Ernie, and Cheyna. The kids might have had a little too much fun. When we get up we bundle up really warm to head out in the cold. We had a hard time getting up to where we like to go, because there was so much snow and nobody else had driven up there. Grandpa kept getting stuck, so Jake plowed the way. It was kind of exciting.

Jaxson jumped out of the car and had to go and make his snow angel. When he was getting up, his gloves came off and he was done.

This is what he did the rest of the day. At least he had fun.

Kennady was so excited for this trip. She told me that her favorite part of Christmas was going to Wyoming and finding a tree.

As soon as we got out of the car, She was off finding Ryan and Lexy.

These 3 spent over an hour uncovering their "fossil".


Hallee had a hard time finding the love. She just wanted me to hold her.


But man, give the girl some hot chocolate and put her in the car and she found new life.

After a LONG day of trying to find a tree, Kyle had to turn it over to me. I went out with Craig, Todd, and Cheyna and found us a beautiful tree. And it didn't take too long. So we threw it up on top of the car and became the Griswalds!!

Thanksgiving

We LOVE Thanksgiving. They food is always YUMMY! I love to find out what everyone is up to and of course eat. Mike and Maurine hosted again this year and it was great. We had lots of fun and tasty food. Kennady, Jaxson, and Hallee had fun playing with Alexis, Aislyn, Bowen, Kayla, and Weston.

Hallee and Weston. They are only 3 weeks apart but Weston is twice the size of Hallee. They had lots of fun playing with each other.

Alexis was teaching Kennady how to stand on her head. Hopefully nothing got broken!

New Moon

I have been so excited for New Moon to come out along with the girls in Kyle's family. So we decided to all go together and have the boys watch the kids. The boys were okay with this since they didn't have to go with us to the movie. Cheyna made these BITE ME shirts that turned out great. Cassie made us flowers to go in our hair. Then we sprayed ourselves with glitter and went to the show. We looked fabulous. We got some weird looks, but it was fun.

Kyle's Birthday

Happy Birthday to Kyle!! You're how old?

Kyle doesn't really like cake, so he got Banana Cream Pie instead. Our families are so big that he got 3 pies this year. And yes I made all 3 pies.



The only thing that Kyle wanted for his birthday was to have everyone over for dinner and for pies. So we had a great party and he got a lot of fun things. He is grateful for our families and for all the support.

Halloween

Halloween was a busy time for us. Kennady had a great Halloween party at school and a fun parade. Jaxson had a really cute Halloween program at preschool. They had so much fun dressing up, going to school, going to the ward Halloween party, carving pumpkins, and Trick or Treating around our Neighborhood. They only had one stipulation. We could not go to the house next door to us (Hilkey's). Last year Travis Hilkey dressed up like a warewolf and scared Kennady and Jaxson half to death. They are "never going to that house again!!"

Hallee's Birthday

My BABY turned 1!! She had so much fun on her birthday. She loved her cake and being the center of attention. She had lots of family come over to wish her a happy birthday.

Jaxson's first day of preschool

Jaxson is very excited to be in preschool. He is learning a lot and has fun with the other boys in his class.

Kennady's first day of kindergarten

Kennady's first day of Kindergarten!! She loves going to school and has some really good friends: Chloe, Lauren, and Emma. She is doing really well in school. She loves doing homework and her teacher says that she is one of the best writers in her class.

Hallee

Hallee is always ready to give you a smile. She has been such a joy to have in our family. She loves playing with her brother Jaxson, her sister Kennady and with her cousins Jayda and Mailee.

Jaxson's Birthday

Jaxson was so excited to turn 4. He had a big family party. We had dinner in our backyard and then had cake and ice cream and opened presents. We have the best family who supports everything we do. We had lots of fun. Jaxson's best friends are his cousins.

Historic Sites

We had so much fun at Emily's. We were able to see lots of our country's history and learned a lot. Some of these things might be better enjoyed without kids, but they did very well and are excited to see the pictures of where we were at this summer. We got to take a tour of the the Capital Building, see the White House, go to George Washington's house (Mt. Vernon), and see the Lincoln Memorial. It was a long couple of days in DC, but we loved it. It is hard to believe that we were there.

Philadelphia

We had so much fun playing in Philadelphia. This is outside of the First National Bank.

The Muster

In Philadelphia the kids were recruited for the war.
